On Thursday December 10th at the Great Hall on the campus of the University of Western Ontario, 101 Western student athletes were honoured as academic all-canadians, including former basketball great Alex Brzozowicz. The recognition was for the 2008-2009 academic year.
Alex spent two seasons with the Mustangs (2007-2009) and is a graduate of the Richard Ivey Business School. Alex was also honoured in 2008-2009 for his academic prowess as he was selected as the OUA West's Ken Sheild award winner and also selected as the inaugural winner of the Boydell Award of Excellence (honouring excellence in Basketball, Academics and Community Service).
