Mustangs Host Local Club Teams For Skills Clinic

The Western Mustangs hosted the St. Thomas Shock and the London Ramblers U10 boys teams this evening in a skills clinic at Thames Hall. Coach Campbell introduced himself and the Mustangs players, then put the local players through some foot work and ball handling skill drills to get the players warmed-up. Mustangs players then instructed the kids in three station groups: primary offence, 2 on 0 passing and deny defence. After the skills stations the Mustangs players took on the local kids in several 5 on 5 games to see how the kids would match-up. To finish the evening Garrett Olexiuk and Andy Wedemire competed in a dunk competition (Garrett won with a toss off the backboard two hand tomahawk jam).
The Mustangs would like to thank the coaches and parents of the Shock & Ramblers and of course the players from each team for their attendance.
