Mustangs 69 Queen's 56

The Western Mustangs used a strong third quarter to pull away from the Queen's Gaels to win 69-56 in Kingston, Ont. on Saturday night. Andrew Wedemire led the Mustangs with 25 points and 11 rebounds and three steals. Quinn Henderson had 12 points, three rebounds and three steals. Western was even with the Gaels in the first half tied at 17 after one quarter. Queen's was up one at half 29-28 before the Mustangs pulled away outscoring Queen's 22-10 in the third quarter. With a 49-38 lead entering the fourth the Mustangs outscored the Gaels 19-15 to win 69-54. Western is now 5-3 and tied for fourth in the OUA West. The Mustangs will break for the holidays with their next regular season game at home on Jan. 5 against Windsor.
