LONDON, Ont. - Nearly five weeks after their last OUA regular season game the Western Mustangs men's basketball team will look to get things started off the right foot in the new year as they host the Windsor Lancers on Jan. 5 at 8 p.m. in Alumni Hall.

Currently tied for fourth in the OUA West with a 5-3 record the Mustangs can gain ground in the standings with a win as Windsor is in first with a 7-1 record. Western will turn to veteran Andy Wedemire, currently in the top five in the OUA in rebounding (8.6) and field goal percentage (54.7%) to continue to provide a front-court presence.
The Mustangs will be buoyed by the return of starting point guard Ryan Barbeau and his 15.8 points and 4.5 assists per game from injury. With another home game on the schedule against McMaster on Sat. Jan. 8 at 3 p.m. the Mustangs will look to start a winning streak to begin the second half of the season.
